IESP Symposium on Intelligent Peri-Urbanization through Decentralization The symposium was held on May 6 at the Munich International Congress Center in conjunction with the 2014 IFAT Trade Fair. On May 7 the lecturers together with some invited guests met again in the Institute for Advanced Study of the Technische Universitaet Muenchen to reflect on the outcome of the symposium. The statements presented in the following may support better understanding the importance of peri-urban and rural areas, and the need for sustainable development of both regions. |
